FRSC Restricts Use of International Driver’s Licences in Nigeria
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has reportedly introduced a new directive restricting the use of international driver’s licences within Nigeria.
According to the announcement, holders of international driving permits will only be allowed to use them in the country if accompanied by a valid temporary permit, which is said to be valid for a period of three months.
The development is aimed at strengthening road safety regulation and ensuring proper documentation of foreign drivers operating within Nigeria.
The FRSC is expected to provide further clarification on enforcement procedures, eligibility requirements, and penalties for non-compliance.
Motorists and foreign visitors are advised to seek official guidance from relevant authorities to avoid violations of the new directive.
