Women as Pillars of Society: Chief Uche Nnaji’s Message of Hope and Appreciation

By Aniude Callista Ijeoma

The true measure of leadership is often reflected in the strength of a leader’s connection to family and society. A man who understands the sacred institution of the family recognizes the immeasurable sacrifices made by women and appreciates the vital role children play in preserving values, unity, and hope for future generations.

For Chief Uche Nnaji (Nwakibie), family remains the foundation upon which every strong society is built. He believes that women are among God’s greatest gifts to humanity — pillars of resilience, sacrifice, and stability whose daily contributions sustain homes and communities alike.

Across homes, markets, offices, and businesses, women continue to demonstrate extraordinary strength. They nurture children, support their husbands, manage households, and contribute economically to family survival through hard work and enterprise.

To Chief Nnaji, a hardworking woman is not merely a supporter within the home; she is a co-builder of the family’s future and a key force behind societal progress.

He strongly maintains that empowering women means empowering the family itself.

Mothers shape character, preserve moral values, ensure the education and well-being of children, and provide emotional stability even during difficult times. As beautifully captured in Proverbs 31, “the value of a virtuous woman is far above rubies.”

Chief Nnaji also pays tribute to mothers who continue to carry the burdens of family life with courage and dignity, especially during moments of grief and hardship. Their patience, prayers, endurance, and unwavering commitment to their children remain worthy of honor and recognition.

In his words:

“I join all Christian faithful in celebrating women — their sacrifices for the family, their patience, their prayers, and their watchful care over children while striving to run small businesses. I am committed to introducing new policies that will alleviate the struggles of women, recognizing them as special gifts from God to the family.

Since the family is the foundation of character development for children, strengthening women means strengthening the entire family unit.”

Under his vision of *ENUGU SHALL RISE AGAIN*,” Chief Uche Nnaji continues to advocate for an inclusive society where women are respected, empowered, protected, and given opportunities to thrive across every sector of life.

Supporters of the Nwakibie movement believe his compassion, humility, and strong family values distinguish him as a leader who genuinely understands the needs of the people. To many, the name NWAKIBIE represents hope, empathy, and a deep appreciation for motherhood and family unity.

As mothers across Enugu State and the Christian community celebrate Mother’s Day in different denominations and traditions, Chief Uche Nnaji extends heartfelt prayers and warm wishes to all mothers for their immeasurable sacrifices, strength, and devotion to humanity.
