Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji has emerged as the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary election in Enugu State after defeating fellow aspirant, Chief Samson Chukwu Nnamani, popularly known as Odera.
According to reports from the primary election, Nnaji secured a total of 7,424 votes, while Nnamani polled 600 votes, giving the PDP flag bearer a decisive landslide victory in the contest.
The primary election, which drew delegates and party stakeholders from across Enugu State, marks a major development ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Supporters of Chief Uche Nnaji described the outcome as a strong endorsement of his leadership vision and development agenda focused on industrialisation, job creation, economic revival, and improved welfare for citizens.
In recent speeches, Nnaji has repeatedly emphasized the need for Enugu State to move beyond overdependence on taxation by promoting production, manufacturing, investment, and support for small businesses.
