NDC Crisis: Dickson, Obi Resolve Differences in Three-Hour Closed-Door Meeting
The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has announced that differences within the party have been resolved following a three-hour closed-door meeting with the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and other key stakeholders.
In a statement shared on his Facebook page, Dickson said the meeting reviewed recent developments within the party and addressed concerns that had caused tension among members.
According to him, discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere and ended with agreements aimed at strengthening unity and cohesion within the NDC.
He explained that both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s broader objective of winning elections and providing an alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dickson also urged members of the party to avoid internal disputes, name-calling, and activities capable of deepening divisions, stressing the need for unity ahead of future political contests.
The meeting is expected to ease internal tensions within the NDC and reinforce efforts by its leadership to present a united front going forward
