Mohammed Hayatu-Deen Boycotts ADC Presidential Primary Results Announcement Over Alleged Irregularities
Presidential aspirant Mohammed Hayatu-Deen has announced that he will not attend the official announcement of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary election results.
In a statement released on the day of the announcement, Hayatu-Deen expressed concern over reports of widespread irregularities and alleged vote rigging during the primary exercise across several parts of the country.
According to him, some of the alleged incidents were personally observed, raising doubts about the credibility and fairness of the process.
“I will not be attending the announcement of the ADC Presidential Election Results today. I am concerned by reports from across the country of widespread vote rigging, some of which I myself observed, and will therefore be taking advice on my next steps,” he stated.
The development comes amid ongoing tensions and conflicting reports surrounding the ADC presidential primary elections in some states.
Political analysts believe the statement could trigger further internal disputes within the party as stakeholders await the final outcome and possible reactions from aggrieved aspirants.
