Former Mobilization Director Issues Open Apology to Obidient Movement
Morris Monye has released an open apology addressed to members of the Obidient Movement, acknowledging what he described as a moment of frustration that led to actions he now regrets.
He stated that he previously issued a resignation letter in which he made comments that indirectly affected former presidential candidate Peter Obi, adding that the statements were made out of emotion and not reflection.
According to him, the message was self-authored and not influenced by any external party, and he accepted full responsibility for its content.
He further noted that although the letter was later deleted, the impact and disappointment it caused among supporters could not be erased, emphasizing the importance of accountability and personal responsibility.
Monye also extended a direct apology to Peter Obi and to supporters of the Obidient Movement, describing them as committed individuals who believe in political reform and better governance.
He stated that his intention was not to seek any position or favor within the movement, but to correct past mistakes and express genuine remorse.
He concluded by emphasizing respect for the movement’s ideals and reaffirming his commitment to the broader vision of national development.
