Woman Sues Cruise Company After Severe Injury in Boat Propeller Incident
A 22-year-old American woman is reportedly suing a boat cruise company after a tragic incident in which she suffered severe injuries involving a vessel’s propellers during a cruise trip.
According to reports surrounding the case, the incident occurred during a $79.99 day cruise, where she later claimed she had been advised by a staff member that it was safe to enter the water and use it as a restroom after consuming alcohol and cannabis on board.
The situation escalated when she entered the water and was struck by a moving propeller after a vessel engine was reportedly engaged in reverse. She sustained critical injuries, resulting in extensive blood loss and multiple surgeries, with one of her legs reportedly amputated.
The woman is now seeking legal compensation, alleging negligence by the cruise company, including claims related to alcohol consumption, safety instructions, and operational procedures during the incident.
The cruise company has not publicly issued a detailed response regarding the lawsuit at the time of reporting.
