Uche Nnaji Reportedly Leads Enugu PDP Governorship Primary Across 260 Wards

Reports from the ongoing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary election in Enugu State suggest that frontline aspirant, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, popularly known as Nwakaibie, is gaining significant momentum across several of the 260 political wards participating in the exercise.

According to reports circulating from party supporters and political platforms, Chief Uche Nnaji reportedly emerged unopposed in Akpugo Ward III, a development supporters have described as a reflection of his growing acceptance within the party structure.

The ongoing primary process has continued to attract attention across the state, with party faithful, stakeholders, and supporters closely monitoring developments as the PDP prepares for the next phase of political activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Political observers say the outcome of the ward-level exercises may play a major role in shaping the direction of the PDP governorship contest in Enugu State, especially amid increasing political realignments and growing grassroots mobilization across different local government areas.
