Governance, Accountability, and the Electorate: Why Citizens Decide, Not Endorsements
This article examines the growing influence of political endorsements and coordinated declarations within Enugu State’s contemporary political landscape, particularly in relation to Governor Peter Mbah’s second-term ambition. It argues that while such endorsements may shape public perception, they do not constitute the true basis for democratic legitimacy. Instead, the lived experiences of citizens remain the most decisive factor in evaluating governance and determining electoral outcomes.
