REVOLT IN ENUGU EAST ZONE AND IGBO-ETITI AND UZO-UWANI: APC, APGA, AND NDC MEMBERS ABANDON MBAH’S CAMP TO JOIN PDP UNDER CHIEF KINGSLEY NWEKE ANDENGR. OKORO

The expanding grassroots coalition against Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s administration reached a critical turning point as hundreds of key party organizers and ward executives from the All Progressives Congress (APC), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), and Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) officially abandoned their former party structures to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The reception, held before a massive crowd at the Dragon Recreation Centre in Enugu, was spearheaded by key political heavyweights, including Chief Kingsley Nweke, the PDP Senatorial Candidate for Enugu East, and Engr. Chijioke Alphonsus Okoro, a leading House of Representatives aspirant for the Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency.

The collapse of these multi-party structures into the PDP framework invalidates attempts by ruling party media operatives to dismiss opposition momentum as mere digital spin, demonstrating a deep-seated rejection of state revenue enforcement and administrative neglect across Enugu's rural belts.

Addressing the incoming members, Engr. Chijioke Alphonsus Okoro commended their courageous decision to return to the PDP, describing the party as a united political family that truly prioritizes the welfare of Ndi Igbo. He assured the defectors that they would be fully integrated without discrimination, promising an inclusive structure across all wards to reclaim the federal constituency.

Chief Kingsley Nweke, the PDP candidate for Enugu East Senatorial District, echoed this resolve, emphasizing that the continuous influx of grassroots leaders proves that the electorate is ready to end political coercion and restore genuine democratic representation across the state. He assured the gathering that the PDP remains focused on protecting the mandate of the people and offering a strong, compassionate alternative ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Former APC and APGA organizers revealed that attempts to force local communities into line through administrative threats have completely backfired, driving veteran rural stakeholders directly into the opposition fold.

The mass migration of political operatives into the PDP under the leadership of Chief Kingsley Nweke and Engr. Chijioke Okoro confirms that no amount of state-sponsored spin or coercive directives can hide the growing public demand for a complete political reset across Enugu State.
