Police Officer Allegedly Involved in Infant Death During Tenant Dispute in Anambra State
A deeply disturbing incident has been reported in Okija, Anambra State, involving a police officer and a civilian dispute that allegedly resulted in the death of an infant.
According to eyewitness accounts circulating online, the incident began when a landlord reportedly involved the police in a disagreement with a tenant. It was gathered that the tenant was not present at the time officers arrived at the scene.
During the encounter, one of the officers allegedly attempted to slap a relative of the tenant but missed, instead striking a baby who was in close proximity. The child reportedly sustained injuries from the impact and fall and was later confirmed dead.
The incident has generated widespread outrage on social media, with many describing it as tragic and calling for a thorough investigation into the conduct of the officers involved.
