Odaa Opuo Gains Momentum as Ward 12, Udi Siding Endorses Town Hall Sensitisation Ahead of Enugu East Senatorial Race

The senatorial ambition of Chief (Dr.) Nweke Kingsley Chizoba, popularly known as Odaa Opuo, received a boost on Saturday as stakeholders in Ward 12, Udi Siding, Udi Local Government Area, gathered for a town hall sensitisation exercise in his support.

The event, led by community stakeholders and party officials, was described as part of ongoing grassroots mobilisation aimed at strengthening engagement between political actors and constituents ahead of the 2026–2027 election cycle.

Speaking during the engagement, Odaa Opuo reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented leadership, stating that his political journey has remained rooted in community development, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance.

He noted that his ambition is not driven by personal interest but by a desire to advance the collective development of Enugu East Senatorial District, adding that leadership must remain accountable and connected to the people.

According to him, his previous initiatives, including support for youth empowerment programmes, sports development in Abakpa, participation in cultural events such as the Coal Camp Carnival, and broader human capital development efforts, reflect his long-standing commitment to community service.

Stakeholders at the event expressed confidence in his leadership capacity, describing his emergence as timely and consistent with the desire for continuity in developmental-focused representation.

The PDP Ward 12 leadership in Udi Siding welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of unity, civic participation, and sustained dialogue in shaping the future of the district.

Political observers say the growing engagements across communities indicate early mobilization efforts as aspirants intensify consultations ahead of party primaries and general elections.

The meeting concluded with renewed calls for unity of purpose and increased political participation among youths, women, and community leaders.
