NWAKAIBIE DONATES SCHOOL BUS TO JOSTAC IN OBOLLO-AFOR, PLEDGING TECH REVOLUTION AND SKILLS ACQUISITION FOR ENUGU YOUTHS
The drive toward a technologically advanced, skilled, and industrialized Enugu State gained fresh momentum at Obollo-Afor in Udenu Local Government Area as Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji (Nwakaibie) attended the formal inauguration of St. Joseph’s School of Technology and Creative Arts (JOSTAC).
The institution, established under the vision of the Catholic Diocese of Nsukka and led by Most Rev. Prof. Godfrey Igwebuike Onah, offers specialized, hands-on training across Digital and Creative Arts, Building Technology, Fashion Design, Advanced Welding, and Electrical Engineering.
Addressing the gathered clergy, community leaders, and students, Chief Nnaji emphasized that the future of Enugu's youth depends entirely on practical skill acquisition, innovation, and self-reliance rather than reliance on theoretical paper credentials. In a swift demonstration of support, Nwakaibie pledged a brand-new operational school bus to JOSTAC to solve transportation challenges for students and instructors, drawing widespread applause from the audience.
Drawing from his experience as a former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Nnaji recalled his strategic role in mobilizing support for the Barefoot Renewable Energy College in Osara, Kogi State, designed to train young Nigerians in solar and wind technology. He noted that the same commitment to practical technical training drives his platform for Enugu State, where technical hubs, vocational training centers, and creative arts schools will receive full state support to transform unemployed youths into confident employers of labor.
The event in Obollo-Afor confirms that Chief Uche Nnaji's vision for Enugu State extends beyond political promises to direct, measurable human capital investments that prepare the next generation to lead the regional economy.
