NHIA ENUGU STATE COORDINATOR AND UNTH CMD TO DISCUSS HEALTH INSURANCE IMPLEMENTATION ON LIVE BROADCASTS
The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in Enugu State, in collaboration with the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Ituku-Ozalla, has announced a series of live radio broadcast discussions focused on expanding healthcare access and evaluating state health insurance implementation. The media engagements will bring together key healthcare leaders to discuss the progress, challenges, and practical benefits of NHIA intervention programs currently running within the tertiary health institution.
The special broadcast features Dr. Kenneth C. Ogbu, the Enugu State Coordinator of the National Health Insurance Authority, alongside Professor Obinna D. Onodugo, the Chief Medical Director of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku-Ozalla. Together, they will x-ray the operationalization of national health insurance policies, address public inquiries, and detail how patients and families can effectively leverage NHIA interventions to reduce out-of-pocket medical expenses at UNTH.
The public discussion series is scheduled across two major radio stations in Enugu State. The first session will air on Urban Radio 94.5 FM on Thursday, 30th July 2026, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The second session will take place on Dream 92.5 FM on Thursday, 6th August 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Members of the public, health advocates, and patients are encouraged to tune in, stay informed, and actively participate during the live call-in segments.
