NECO SSCE 2026 Commences as JAMB Prepares for Result Slip Printing Activation

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially begun the conduct of its Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal for the 2026 academic year across Nigeria.

According to the approved schedule, the examination commenced on Monday, 15 June 2026, and is expected to run until Thursday, 23 July 2026. The exercise marks a critical stage in the academic journey of thousands of secondary school students across the country.

Education authorities have encouraged candidates to strictly adhere to examination guidelines and timetable schedules to ensure a smooth and orderly conduct of the exercise. Schools and supervisors have also been advised to maintain compliance with NECO regulations throughout the examination period.

In a related development, candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are anticipating the activation of the JAMB original result slip printing portal.

This follows the conclusion of the JAMB mop-up examinations held on Saturday, 13 June 2026, which marked the final stage of the examination cycle. The portal is expected to be opened shortly to allow candidates print their official result slips, a key document required for admission processing into tertiary institutions.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is yet to officially announce the exact activation time, but candidates have been advised to regularly check the portal for updates and ensure they follow official instructions to avoid misinformation.

Education stakeholders have urged candidates to remain calm and focused as both examination and post-examination processes continue nationwide.
