NDC Disowns Fake Primary Results, Says Official Exercise Holds Tomorrow
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a formal disclaimer over reports of alleged primary election results currently circulating on social media and various online platforms.
In a press statement released by the party, the NDC clarified that its primaries are scheduled to hold tomorrow, 29th May 2026, and therefore no official results or winners can exist at this time.
The party described the circulating reports as false, misleading, and logically impossible, urging members of the public to disregard any information suggesting that primary elections have already taken place.
According to the statement, only announcements from official party channels should be accepted as authentic, warning supporters against relying on unverified sources or politically motivated rumours.
The NDC reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent, credible, and orderly primary process, stressing that internal democracy remains a core principle guiding its operations.
Party members and supporters were further advised to remain vigilant and avoid being misled by fabricated information capable of causing confusion within the political space.
The statement was signed by the National Secretary of the party, Barrister Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, on behalf of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
