Lion Building Media Team Coordinator Reacts as Nnaji Emerges PDP Flag Bearer, Calls for Unity and Economic Transformation in Enugu
The Coordinator of the Lion Building Media Team for Nwakabie, in an interview held this morning, reacted to the emergence of Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2027 Enugu State election.
According to the coordinator, Nnaji’s emergence represents more than a political development, but a renewed opportunity to reposition Enugu State towards economic transformation, industrialisation, and inclusive governance.
He described the PDP flag bearer’s message as one centered on unity, urging stakeholders across political divides to embrace collaboration in the interest of the state’s progress. He noted that leadership in Enugu must prioritize development over division and shared prosperity over personal interests.
The coordinator referenced Nnaji’s call for reconciliation among party members, including his remarks appreciating fellow aspirants such as Chief Samson Nnamani, describing it as a sign of maturity and political inclusiveness.
He further highlighted concerns raised about the economic realities facing residents, including rising living costs, business challenges, and unemployment, stressing that any credible leadership must address these issues through practical policies.
According to him, special attention must be given to small and medium-scale enterprises, teachers’ welfare, and youth empowerment as key drivers of economic stability and social development.
The coordinator also emphasized Nnaji’s industrialisation agenda, noting that Enugu State has vast natural and human resources that can be harnessed for job creation and sustainable development if properly managed.
He referenced historical models of leadership, including the late Dr. Michael Okpara’s economic approach in the Eastern Region, stating that Enugu has the potential to replicate similar achievements under visionary leadership.
He concluded by calling on party members, stakeholders, and citizens to support a united vision aimed at restoring dignity, economic growth, and opportunity across the state.
