LEARN CONTENTMENT, DON'T BE BEGGARLY": FIRST LADY REMI TINUBU URGES NIGERIAN YOUTHS TO SHUN SHORTCUTS AND EMBRACE HARD WORK

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has urged young people across the country to reject the pursuit of quick riches, cultivate personal contentment, and embrace diligence, integrity, and hard work as the true foundations of lasting success.

​Speaking during an audience with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Wing at the State House in Abuja, the First Lady warned against complacency with modest achievements while encouraging youths to remain focused on long-term personal growth. According to a statement issued by her Senior Special Assistant on Media, Busola Kukoyi, Mrs. Tinubu emphasized that impatience often leads young people into unhealthy competition and unnecessary pressure.

​"God always knows our needs, and that is what many young people do not understand; they are always in a hurry," she stated. "I am teaching you to learn contentment and not be beggarly. You have to have the eagle's mentality. When the eagle sees the storm, it does not panic; it rises above it. That is what you should all do. Always chart your own path instead of desiring what someone else has."

​The First Lady commended the APC youth leadership for maintaining organizational unity and driving grassroots engagement across the country. Reminding the youth wing of their role as key champions of the Renewed Hope Agenda, she urged them to uphold conduct that brings honor to the party while actively communicating the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.

​To enhance the operational capacity and community outreach of the youth wing, the First Lady donated nine brand-new operational buses to the national, zonal, and Federal Capital Territory youth leadership. Expressing gratitude on behalf of the delegation, APC National Youth Leader Dayo Israel commended Mrs. Tinubu’s gesture, assuring her that the youth wing remains firmly dedicated to mobilizing grassroots support and promoting federal development programs across all 36 states and the FCT.
