JAMB Fixes June 13, 2026 for UTME Mop-Up Examination

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Saturday, June 13, 2026, for the conduct of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up examination.

According to the Board, the mop-up exercise is for candidates who were properly registered and biometrically verified but were unable to sit for the main examination due to technical challenges or other approved circumstances.

JAMB explained that the 2026 UTME was conducted between April 16 and April 29, 2026, but some candidates were affected by issues such as technical glitches at examination centres, biometric verification failures, and cases of examination infractions which led to withdrawal of some results.

The Board stated that the mop-up examination represents the final phase of the UTME exercise and is designed to ensure that all eligible candidates are given a fair opportunity to complete the process.

Candidates scheduled for the exercise have been advised to begin printing their examination notification slips from Saturday, June 6, 2026, ahead of the examination date.

JAMB further urged affected candidates to confirm their examination centres early and make necessary preparations, stressing that there will be no further opportunity after the mop-up exercise.

The statement was signed by the Public Communication Adviser of JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
