"IT IS FOR MY SON, YOU CAN ONLY STAY FOR FREE": REACTION TRAILS OCHACHO’S CLARIFICATION ON N400M HOUSE GIFT TO PELLER
Controversy and online debates have erupted following a recent TikTok Live session where real estate mogul King Ochacho clarified the terms of the multi-million naira house gift announced during content creator Peller’s wedding.
During the live interaction, Peller inquired about the official title deeds and ownership documents for the property located in Abuja. In response, Ochacho explicitly stated that the property ownership would remain within his family line and would not be transferred into Peller’s name.
The businessman explained that while Peller and his family are permitted to occupy the mansion rent-free for as long as they wish, the property is designated for his young son. He noted that once his son grows up, gets married, and establishes his own household, the estate will officially be handed over to him.
"The house I gave you is for my son, you can only stay there for free. Just stay there and enjoy it. When my son grows up, gets married, and starts a family, the house will be handed over to him. So for now, keep living there free of charge, but the property still remains in Ochacho's family name."
The clarification has sparked widespread commentary among netizens and industry followers, with many raising questions regarding high-profile celebrity gifts and public relations packaging on social media. Critics argue that grand public announcements should reflect complete legal transfer, while supporters maintain that free long-term housing in a prime location still offers substantial financial relief.
