I WILL NEVER DATE A YAHOO BOY” — YUL EDOCHIE’S DAUGHTER DANIELLE CONDEMNS ROMANTICISING FRAUD
Danielle Edochie, content creator and daughter of veteran Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has taken a firm stance against the growing trend of romanticising internet fraud and dating cybercriminals, popularly known as "Yahoo boys." Speaking in a video message shared across her social media handles, Danielle expressed deep concern over how some young women willingly overlook the illegal sources of wealth of their partners simply because of financial gain, clarifying that she would never compromise her personal principles for stolen money.
Addressing the topic, Danielle admitted that while she appreciates financial comfort like anyone else, she cannot rationalize giving her essence or heart to an individual whose livelihood depends on defrauding innocent victims. She expressed disbelief at why anyone would be surprised by her refusal to date fraudsters, emphasizing that building a romantic relationship with a thief is entirely unjustifiable regardless of how lucrative internet fraud may appear to others.
Reaffirming her boundaries, Danielle warned internet fraudsters to stay away from her and refrain from attempting to pursue any romantic relationship with her. She reiterated that she will never romanticize being with someone who steals online or physically, asserting that true self-worth and integrity must always take precedence over the temporary allure of fraudulent wealth.
