Federal High Court Grants ₦5 Million Bail to Social Media Influencer Justice Chidiebere (Justice Crack)
The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to detained social media influencer Justice Chidiebere, widely known as “Justice Crack,” in the sum of ₦5 million with one surety in like sum.
Justice Chidiebere was brought before the court for the hearing of his bail application following his detention by the Nigerian military in late April 2026.
He was reportedly arrested after posting viral videos on social media in which he alleged poor welfare conditions, including feeding and general treatment of soldiers deployed on frontline operations.
Supporters of the influencer have argued that he is being unfairly targeted over his outspoken commentary, insisting that his posts were aimed at drawing attention to the welfare of Nigerian troops.
They have continued to call for his release, stating that his actions were in the public interest and focused on accountability within the armed forces.
Following court proceedings, the judge granted bail in the sum of ₦5 million with one surety in like sum, pending further hearing of the case.
The matter has continued to generate public debate online, with discussions centered on freedom of expression, national security concerns, and the treatment of military personnel welfare issues.
As proceedings continue, attention remains on the next steps in the legal process and compliance with the bail conditions.
