Enugu PDP Declares Completion of Primaries, Urges Members to Ignore Misinformation
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State has announced the successful completion of all its primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a message circulated to party members and stakeholders, the party leadership stated that the primary process concluded with the gubernatorial election which produced Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji as the party’s governorship candidate.
According to the statement, the party has also successfully elected its candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly positions across the state.
The leadership urged party faithful and supporters not to fall into what it described as the “trap of detractors,” warning against misinformation and divisive narratives allegedly being circulated to create confusion within the party.
Members were encouraged to remain focused, united, and committed to strengthening the party ahead of the general elections.
The statement further called on supporters to widely share the update among colleagues and party structures to ensure accurate information reaches all stakeholders.
Political observers say the announcement is aimed at reinforcing internal unity and calming tensions following intense political activities surrounding the primaries in Enugu State.
