Bayo Adelabu Alleges Widespread Irregularities in Oyo Party Primaries
Former Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu, has expressed dissatisfaction over the conduct of party primaries in Oyo State, alleging widespread irregularities and manipulation of results.
In a statement attributed to him, Adelabu claimed that in some wards, results were allegedly prepared before voting commenced, while in certain areas where elections did not hold, results were still announced.
He described the situation as a setback to democratic processes, stressing that credible elections cannot be built on manipulation or predetermined outcomes.
The remarks have sparked political reactions within the state, as stakeholders continue to debate the integrity of the primary election process.
Party officials are yet to issue an official response to the allegations.
