Atiku Abubakar Says ADC Presidential Aspirant Screening Concluded in Abuja
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has stated that the screening exercise for presidential aspirants under the African Democratic Congress has been concluded in Abuja.
According to him, the exercise took place at Transcorp Hotel, Abuja, as part of preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He described the process as a step forward in what he referred to as a collective political mission aimed at national “rescue,” a phrase commonly used in opposition political narratives.
The development comes amid increasing political realignments and consultations across parties as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
Political observers note that the conclusion of screening signals the beginning of final internal decisions on who will emerge as the party’s flagbearer.
Further official announcements are expected from the party leadership in the coming days.
