Global media organization AljazirahNigeria/London Newspapers has officially released the list of awardees for its 2025 Personality of the Year Awards. According to a statement signed by Award Committee Chairman Hon. Ibrahim Abubakar, the annual honors celebrate individuals demonstrating exceptional leadership, innovation, and public service impact across Nigeria.

The key award recipients and their recognized contributions include:

​Minister of the Year: Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, recognized for reforms in passport processing, border security, identity verification, and correctional facility management.

​Africa's CEO of the Year: Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Engr. Bashir Ojulari, honored for driving commercial discipline, restoring joint-venture operations, and expanding deep-water project investments.

​Distinguished Humanitarian Service / Entrepreneur of the Year: Barrister Seyi Tinubu, recognized for independent enterprise, youth-focused empowerment initiatives, educational support, and community outreach.

​Government Agency / Public Servant of the Year: Director-General of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Prof. Nnanyelugo Ike-Muonso, cited for advancing local value addition and industrial innovation.

​Recognized State Governors: Six state chief executives were honored for infrastructural development, security, and human capital investments: Governor Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Governor Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers), Governor Uba Sani (Kaduna), Governor Agbu Kefas (Taraba), Governor Douye Diri (Bayelsa), and Governor Mohammed Umar Bago (Niger).
