2026 WASSCE RESULTS RELEASED: WAEC WITHHOLDS RESULTS OF SELECT SCHOOLS IN ENUGU AND OTHER STATES OVER ALLEGED MALPRACTICE

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the official release of results for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates. Candidates can now generate their result checker PINs via the official WAEC portal and access their grades online.

​However, the examination body has withheld the results of candidates from select secondary schools across Enugu and several other states over alleged cases of examination malpractice during the diet.

​In an official circular signed by the Head of National Office, Dr. Amos Dangut, school principals and administrators of the listed institutions have been directed to submit comprehensive reports to the council's office within 14 days.

​The official notice explicitly warns affected school heads that failure to comply with the 14-day submission window from the date of issuance may attract further administrative and institutional sanctions in accordance with WAEC Bye-Laws on Examination Malpractice.

​To check released performance, candidates are advised to obtain their result checker PIN on the main council portal and log in to the official result verification platform to view their subject grades.

​Institutions flagged for alleged malpractice include Ideal Comprehensive College and The Ambassadors College in Enugu, alongside secondary schools across Lagos, FCT, Rivers, Oyo, Kaduna, Anambra, and several other states nationwide.

​Affected school heads must submit formal explanations regarding the reported examination irregularities within two weeks, after which the National Committee of the Council will review the cases to determine whether the withheld results will be released or cancelled.
